The polar stratosphere is warming, there could be a technical Sudden Stratospheric Warming with a brief reversal of winds before the end of the month, one of the earliest before winter on record. But this SSW looks of the reflective type, which strengthens the upper westerlies, bringing unsettled and potentially stormy weather.
