The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Against Scams Partnership (CAPASP) is a collaboration of public, private and voluntary sector organisations committed to working together to stop scams and doorstep crime across the county. Scams are fraud and fraud is crime - the most commonly experienced crime in the UK, affecting UK society economically and socially. Fraud accounts for over 40% of crime in England and Wales. The most common types of scams in the UK are payment diversion fraud, investment fraud, romance fraud, courier fraud as well as cheque, plastic card and online bank account fraud.
