What is Dog Watch?

Dog Watch Logo

Dog Watch encourages dog owners to be proactive and vigilant whilst walking their dogs. The idea is for dog walkers to act as the eyes and ears for the local community and to report anything out of the ordinary on their regular routes. Because of their local knowledge, dog walkers notice unusual or
suspicious activity and anti-social behaviour. Joining |Dog Watch will help you to report to the relevant
authority whilst staying safe.

This includes:

  • suspicious activity or vehicles
  • graffiti and vandalism
  • nuisance vehicles and speeding
  • antisocial behaviour
  • fly-tipping
  • dog fouling
  • hare-coursing
  • dog-related incidents
  • abandoned vehicles

You have the opportunity to spot anything out of place or suspicious while walking your dog – and
report it.

We’ll give you advice on dog, home and property crime prevention, and you can also become part of the Cambridgeshire Alert Messaging System, which keeps you updated with news and events from Neighbourhood Watch and Cambridgeshire Police.
